  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job typically involves collecting and paying underwriters money for respective contracts. Typically monies will come into our accounts everyday and i would allocate it against respective entries to enable funds to be released to clients. The reverse of this is receiving funds from the clients and then allocating on the client side to open funds to be released to reinsurers.

  • I have learnt lots of IT skills such as skills on Excel and skills on the main programme we use for the accounting. I have developed my communication skills both via letters/email and face to face. My confidence is definitely a major skill that i have developed and i think this is because i am communicating with people i wouldn't usually, having been in school for the past 12 years.
