Relationship Support Manager working alongisde a Relationship Director looking after large corporate Real Estate clients with their banking needs. Helping the Relationship Director solve queries (simple and complex) and help clients achieve their business objective. Regular meetings as client offices to discuss future plans and support they need.
I have learnt skills in terms of presenting to large audiences and to key stakeholders. I have learnt how to manage my time appropriately and organise priorities, whether that is with university work or Barclays work. Confidence is a skill I have developed most with support from the bank.
To a greater extent. I love the job I am currently doing and the relationship I have with my team and director is great, it makes work enjoyable. Being able to have a day a week to study really helps to meet deadlines and revise.
Organisation has been a slight issue for me personally as when roles have been changed when progressing through the apprenticeship, this was done poorly and with a lack of communication which put me down. Some things are left to the last minute and are bureaucratic.
Constant support from my director and line manager. They are able to support but also look at alternatives in situations, giving you experience in problem solving
I would say a fair amount of support. However when completing assignments and exams sometimes I and other apprentices lack confidence as we only attend university once a module. It feels like full time university students would be given a lot more support.
It goes hand in hand with my daily job and areas from both work life and study enable me to improve my performance due to confidence in some subjects
A pub quiz currently with my team every Friday (virtually) which is great. I have had opportunities for professional events.
