Working with other members of my team, building software changes. I usually work on a project for several weeks, talking to designers and making the changes. I then test my programs, and support the live implementation.
I've developed my business skills - working in an office environment, collaborating with others. I've also learnt a lot of brand new technical skills.
I really enjoy it - the work environment (working on campus) is really pleasant, and you're given a lot of freedom and trust to manage your own workflow. There's lots of opportunities to get involved with new projects and things not directly related to your daily job.
Really well structured - with lots of support throughout the programme, from both work and university.
There's lots of support - formal support from the Apprentice Team, and your line manager, and then lots of support from colleagues and other apprentices.
We have formal quarterly review meetings with our Career Coach from university. However we can reach out to them at any time, and the tutors are also very supportive.
It gives a broad range of knowledge and experience I wouldn't get just in my role, and so gives me a wider understanding of how my role fits into the organisation.
There's opportunities for citizenship (such as helping out with school events), charity events such as bubble football and sports days, and also clubs for things like football, tennis and squash.
Yes
I love the work environment and the whole feeling with working here. You don't feel like you're an apprentice, you feel like a valued and important part of the team. With lots of support and help, but also fantastic opportunities and experiences.
Be yourself, be confident and proud of what you can do, and really open to learning and keen to push yourself further.
