  • I am a business anaylst in the BCS (Barclays Collaboration Services). I work in service management on Skype for Business. It is my job to ensure that we have a good uptake of the service and we improve regularly. my main tasks include: reporting, finance and supplier managment.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have completed my foundation ITIL qualification and developed my knowlage of service managment. i have also completed my level 3 business administration and and i have delevloped my skills such as: - Leadership - profesionalism

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my barclays foundation apprenticeship

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • We have a clear set of objectives and we have frequent catch ups.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recieve as much or as little support as i need, the support it readily avalible but not pushed upon you.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I recieve some support from my training provider however this could be improved as sometime communication is lacking and further help would be benifitial.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification links well to my role and i have had the opertunity to project manage a project within my team and this really developed my skills.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of oppotunities for this however it is not something i personally get involved with.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Barclays is a good place to work, there are lots of development oppotunities. Barlcays treats their staff well and i feel valued.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • Ensure to embody the Barclays values: Respect, Integrity, service, excelence and stewardship. Learn about out aims and objectives and make sure to make them known when you are applying.
