We hold data on customer systems. From these records are used by many of the bank’s other systems, rather than each of these storing and maintaining the same information. I develop, maintain, and amend jobs (Build the programs) on the mainframe using languages such as COBOL and JCL
I have learnt how to program in lots of languages and learnt how to navigate zOS and how to work in a business enviroment I have learnt a lot about programming theory and how to transfer skills and techniques across languages to help enable me to complete tasks more efficiantly

I gives me a wider outlook on the IT world and helps me see how other programmers use different coding techniques to complete different workplace projects so if i ever need to work with another team i will be fully equipped to help and already have the skills i need
