On a day to day basis I complete work for the finance litigation team. I use a range of precedents and draft a wide range of legal documents including LBAs, particulars of claim, witness statements, chaser letters.
I originally completed the paralegal apprenticeship where I was based in Real Estate. Since starting the solicitor apprenticeship, I have developed existing skills and also new skills being able to understand a litigation process and to draft different documents.
I really enjoy my programme. It is very engaging and I have learnt so much from it.
Very well organised so far. However, there is some uncertainty surrounding the qualification due to changes of examinations including the SQE. However, overall it is well structured and organised.
Great support from my apprenticeship manager at DWF. She is always happy to help and answer any question and is very supportive.
I receive a lot of support from BPP. They are always on hand to answer any questions, I have regular catchups with my apprenticeship manager at BPP and they are very supportive in your studies, work and personal issues.
My qualification helps me to perform better in my role as they help you to develop legal skills at face to face days and learning the law alongside practising the law is very beneficial.
Yes there are lots of extra-curricular activities at DWF including summer and Christmas parties. They have sports team and always have on CSR events to raise money for the DWF foundation. There is lots to get involved in.
