  • I help my colleagues with there workload. I send documents to the opposing solicitors and the Court. I draft documents, make phone calls and close files.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned new skills such as drafting documents. I have developed existing skills such as using formal and appropriate language when writing emails or on the phone. I have also become more confident when talking on the phone.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme as I am studying law and working in a law firm at the same time, so I can put what I am studying into practice. My colleagues are very helpful and it is a nice environment to work in.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe the programme is well organised. Every few months we have a meeting with the apprenticeship specialist who checks up on us and to see whether our skills are expanding.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support from my employer. The apprenticeship specialist, my supervisor and my colleagues will always help me and check that I am getting on okay. My supervisor and colleagues show me how to carry out tasks and explain why they are done in this way.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • BPP sends many emails with lots of information and we also have a revision session a week before the exam. It would be great if we could get the same support with coursework too!

  • I believe this qualification helps me to perform better as I am learning new topics which are relevant in the workplace so I am able to provide it to my work.

  • There are many extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work, such as: Quiz night, Fridge Friday (a social of a Friday), bowling etc.

  • Yes

  • It is a good environment to work in and the staff are friendly and helpful.

  • Be confident. Try to learn a little bit about the firm's history.
