My role is very varied and offers a lot of opportunities to do everything from Scripting, Networking, Ticket Management and network upgrades.
So So many namely programming/scripting as well as increasing my knowledge of networking. But mainly being shown how large organisational networks transfer data internally and externally.
I enjoy my work however my provider leaves alot to be desired. My business, managers and HR have supported me but i think the provider has let it down.
It is "Well" Structured in the way that my company knows what milestones need to be reached however the training provider struggles to help learners get to these milestones, again no fault of Vodafone.
My manager has been great and although does not actively ask what i need i know i can go to him with any questions and he will do his best to get the experience i need.
Little to non, the training provider i believe have failed myself and others. This does not reflect on the business at all.
It gives me a stepping stone and opens the door for me however the courses they provide offer little help in my day to day role.
Once a month there is hacking evening which i enjoy. i know there are other activities which other people do and i look forward to getting more involved.
Yes
Within every large organisation there are people who you don't work well with however within Vodafone that number is very small, most people are happy to help and will offer time and support if they believe you are worth giving that time to.
Go for it. With everything it is what you make it my advice would be to engage with everything. Get stuck in, ask question and get to know your team. People are everything.
