Work with the internal networks team, I work on making the network better. I go to daily internal meetings for projects I'm involved and one on one meetings with the manager weekly to check progress and to make sure I'm on the right track.
My soft skills have improved and have learned a lot about network it and troubleshooting networks.
I like the fact that I am learning and getting a decent wage for and apprentice all at the same time and that I have built a good relationship with colleagues inside Vodafone.
There was a few teething problems at the start with the learning, but once they were worked out the apprenticeship went well. Vodafone has been very supportive and wants the best for all the apprentices they have taken on.
Vodafone have gone above and beyond in support for my higher apprenticeship and made sure that they got the work study balance right. They have a lot of resource that they made available to me to help me with my studies.
The support from the training provider could have been better, but once the issues with the skills coach were addressed the support has never been better.
The training provided has taught me a lot of the underpinning knowledge to perform in my role better. so I haven't just gone into my role not knowing what the team was talking about. It was then just a case applying the knowledge to my daily tasks.
Yes there are many extra-curricular activities they run family activities in the summer there is a basket ball and football team. Vodafone also take part in cultural activities, like Black History month and runs activities like code like a girl to try influence more women into tech career paths.
