My typical role is supporting the team with sales support task. This enables me to understand the sales process for our team. My usual tasks are revenue assurance activities this is a big help for the team and it has had a positive effect in terms of getting extra revenue for the team. I have also got involved within customer meeting's which have enabled me to understand the full sales process and how we interact with our customers.
Yes I have learnt lots of new skills within my team and the apprenticeship. Through my team I have learnt valuable skills, such as presenting, sales skills, customer interaction, the full sales process within Vodafone and activities such as revenue assurance and how it works. With the training provider I have also added skills such as my MS365 qualification, learning about buying mantra's different types of sales etc.
I really enjoy my programme, It has helped me to improve a number of skills and grow my confidence within a business and sales environment. It has enabled me to learn new skills and get an understanding of how a large corporation run. My team have been invaluable and have really helped me in my role. I have also been able to do a number of extra activities in addition to my role.
In terms of how well organised the programme is, when I began the programme I felt that it could have been a bit more organised. As the programme has progressed it felt more organised with structure within my team and how I can help and the tasks I was getting involved in.
I receive lots of support from my employer. There are weekly apprentice drop in calls if we have issues in which we can discuss. I have regular catch up calls with both my wider team and my day to day manager. We also have a regular apprentice survey in which we can give our feedback on how we are getting on.
In terms of the training provider we have had some issues however Vodafone and the apprentice lead does know about it and has been working to resolve this. We have training weeks in which we go through each part of the course. When we do have these weeks the courses are enjoyable and they have provided sufficient help for us to work towards the qualification.
I feel that in terms of the qualification it has helped me within my role. In terms of notching the ways that we interact with customers, the different methods of selling etc. It has also helped me just within my role with things such as internal contact such as writing emails etc.
Within VF there are a number of extra curricular activities to get involved in which I have been very impressed with. There are internal groups such as digital ninjas who are there to aid with digital needs and run extra curricular activities. One of the best extra curricular things I have done during the programme was a meet and greet as part of the VF foundation .
Yes
I would thoroughly recommend Vodafone to a friend the programme has been really good in terms of my development as a career prospect and its a business I would love to stay in once my apprenticeship ends. I have had full support throughout the business and everybody has really helped me during my time in the business.
I would tell others when applying for Vodafone just to be confident within yourself. The application process was very thorough and tested a number of skills but I found being confident a massive help. When you join the business they are happy to help with anything and are really accommodating.
