My job can vary from day to day, most days I will working on articles, writing and editing them. I do a lot of CMS work. I do a weekly scheduled set of Facebook posting. I have a lot of the responsibility of giving CMS training to different markets, as well as giving access to those that need it. I work closely with my team and have to interact with them daily.
Yes, with my apprenticeship I have to do at least 460 hours of off-the-job training. This has helped me developed skills I can take into my workplace, such as SEO training, design training and CMS training. I now have a certification from Google on The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing. I can apply all of these to my role.
I really enjoy my programme. I find my team to be especially supportive with the extra work I have to do regarding my apprenticeship. The Cleanipedia team is exceptional in giving me tasks and making me feel like a valued member of the team and not just a young apprentice. The work is nice and varied so I'm enjoying it.
The training provider itself is a little confusing in terms of training/studying itself. The marketing system seems unfair in the final assessments. There has been a lot of turbulence regarding my course, but I feel like the training provider and work have supported me in making sure I'm able to balance everything well.
I receive a lot of support from my manager. She is just amazing and really pushes me but knows when to check in with my work load. The whole team is amazing. My LDC has also been good in ironing out any queries I have regarding the course itself. Everyone always feels like they want to help you despite everyone being busy themselves.
It has been a bit hit or miss sometimes. I do feel like the training provider has been a little unorganised when it comes to answering my questions or sorting out module dates for me. But my LDC has always tried to make sure I get everything sorted to ease my mind.
I feel like I learn more being on the job itself, but the qualification is helping me getting variation as well as providing me with more skills which I might not get on a day to day basis at my job role. I have put theory into practice and feel I am learning a lot.
Yes there is. I am apart of the DIGI team so that gives me the opportunity to apply some creativity outside my team but still within the business. There are also lots of apprentice activities we organise ourselves and it's a really supportive group of people. There is also a gym at the office.
Yes
Brilliant company to work for, you feel like you get treated as a professional despite having next to no experience in the field you are training in. The employees are lovely and it has a great sense of community within the company. The London office is also great location and friendly.
Just be yourself. The application process is difficult but I think that's a perfect way to show how you are under intense, stressful situations. Everyone wants you to succeed so go for it. Also, say yes to as much as possible. I wish I had been told to give everything time you're not expected to know everything in the first few months, so ask lots of questions and go out and meeting people!
