My role is a hotel receptionist My day to day duties include, checking guests in and out of the hotel Taking responsibility for the hotel upon my shift Answering phone calls and returning emails Dealing with payments and refunds Dealing with complaints and reviews Managing the hotel and overseeing staff
Yes I have learnt new skills and I am also developing them too! It's all a learning curve. The online virtual classrooms are helpful and efficient
I enjoy learning new things [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] has been amazing and very supporting. She also reminds me when my virtual classes are due, even though i know she doesn't have to do that! I appreciate it tremendously.
It is very well organised. I have emails and dates set up for meetings or verbal calls.
My support chain is tremendous, everyone is very helpful and understanding.
Mary is very supportive and persuasive. She makes me feel like I'm doing very well and my time doing this is not wasted. She is very reassuring.
Yes, my role has been effected, but for the better. I feel much more confident and friendly. More approachable and I am working better to understand communication techniques.

It is a very professional and clean hotel. The staff take their jobs very seriously and nothing is ever too much trouble.
Do it! It's such an easy job to do, you learn so much too. You gain so much experience in the hospitality industry. You meet lovely people and get to pass on so much wisdom to new comers.
