To greet customers and ask how we as a bank can help them. To show respect and empathy to customers and colleagues. To serve the customers in a polite and efficient manner. To represent and promote the brand name of Barclays while wearing the uniform.
I have studied for and successfully qualified for the AwRBCB exam. This is my first customer facing role and at times it has been challenging, which I relish and welcome, but mainly it is a rewarding role. I am developing my individual skills, while letting my character shine through.
Work role diversity, no two days are the same. My apprenticeship programme has personally been let down badly by my previous mentor because I only saw and spoke with them once within the last 14 months. This has unfortunately resulted in a pause in my studies.
Fairly well structured, but the branch is small and often we are under-staffed so I do not get any time for my studies. However, I believe between my new mentor and branch management a resolution will happen allowing me time during the week to prepare for the final stages.

It gives an understanding to how the financial industry works, the rules and regulations, and how my role fits into the system. The apprenticeship also builds individual strength and confidence, as well as the knowledge needed to perform the role.
