My day to day duties include creating governance reports, minute taking, organising agendas, tracking actions, tracking meetings, managing the team sharepoint, tracking RAIDs, milestones and change records.
I have learnt how to take minutes and track team actions. I have also learnt more about how to create formulas in excel. I also think i have better communication skills.
I enjoy it sometimes. I like it when i finally understand something that i found difficult at first. Sometimes i feel it can be too challenging and i start to feel out of my depth. However i have a really lovely team who i get along amazing with.
It is more organised now that i have a new skills coach. We have regular meetings and catch ups. For the first 18 months of my apprenticeship it was chaotic and unorganised as i had 3-4 skills coaches in that time.
I have weekly 121's with my manager where i can discuss and ask for any help regarding my apprenticeship.
I now receive lots of support. I can message, call or email my skills coach and he responds within the same day. I am approaching the end of my apprenticeship and require more catch ups regarding my end point assessment.
I feel that i am starting to adapt my classroom learning to how we work at Barclays. I can now understand my work environment more which in turn is helping me build in confidence.
I am now involved in raising money for a chosen charity. I have done cake sales, collections and football games in the past. I also organise team social events such as leaving nights out, christmas do's, meals and events.
Yes
So many lovely people to work with, so much support and can develop into any role. I feel secure within my role and the benefits are amazing.
Be prepared to be challenged beyond your role. It is a high change environment and requires flexible and innovative colleagues. If you do a team interview like me be confident but not overpowering. Being personable and being a team worker is vital.
