  • 4. How well organised was your work experience?
  • The whole experience was run very well and the structure of it helped it to run very smoothly. The only thing that happened that wasn’t organised was a fire alarm which shows how well it was run as that was the only thing that distrusted my time at m&g.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • Before I had this experience I would have thought of working in an office as being boring but the company culture that was shown in m&g completely contradicted this, I believe that working at m&g would be a fun and accepting place whilst pushing you to be the best you can be.

  • 6. How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
  • This was an incredible help for me as I wasn’t sure on what path I wanted to take. Although it was a great experience it did help me to realise that an apprenticeship or something like that just wasn’t for me however it did highlight to me that if my mind changed or I decided I wanted to do that it would always be an option because we heard from people about the career paths they had taken to get to m&g.

  • 7. Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?
  • No, it was a school trip.

  • 8. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?
  • Yes there was, we met many employees who were running the event and others who came to speak to us about what their job is and how they got there and we got to ask them questions about it. There was a couple of other school groups there as well as us and we were all split up so that we would mix with different people which was very helpful.

  • 9a. Would you recommend M&G to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I think the experience was great for finding out different career paths that could be taken so I would definely recommend people for that reason but I would also recommend m&g to people I know who I think would enjoy m&g just from being there for one day.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to M&G?
