  • I develop tools/web pages designed to support network operations. Day to day activities are typically varied depending on the project. General tasks include, checking emails, making code changes, testing code & creating reporting.

  • I have learnt the following: - Advanced Excel (including VBA macro automation) - Tableau (Data visualisation) - HTML programming language - Javascript - CSS - Python - Oracle SQL - Cronejob - Presentation skills

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the work i do and get a good satisfaction from creating a tool that will benefit and improve others day to day work. I also enjoy the challenge of my degree apprenticeship and how i am able to improve my academic skills

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Vodafone level 6 degree apprenticeship is very well organised with clear tasks to achieve and continual feedback so that you can always be sure if you're on track or not.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have multiple channels of support that i am able to use. Below i have list some of them: - Line Manager - Business Point of Contact - Team members - Peer Apprentices - Past apprentices (buddies)

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • As i am completing a degree apprenticeship the majority of the learning is expected to be completed by the learner. The support i have received from the training provider could be improved with more pro-active check ups and a more consistent approach.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • This is absolutely the case, the majority of modules i undergo are very relevant to my job/team. Also, as a secondary, my written and verbal communication has significantly improved since starting. These skills can be utilized on a daily basis.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is a large variety of activities including sports, dog walking, petrol heads etc.. These are all facilitated through our 'workplace' networking tool. On the tool you can join group and get involved in event relatively easy,

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Opportunity. Vodafone has given me opportunity to establish my personal interests, develop me as a person both technically as well as improve my confidence and soft skills. I really feel like ive grown as a person since joining Vodafone.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
  • My advice would include: - Show interest and willingness to learn - Be polite, well spoken and presentable - Being a team player is just as important as being able to work alone - Have some prior knowledge about Vodafone and the telecoms industry
