I work in the Restructuring team, dealing with businesses in liquidation or distress. I work on Administrations, liquidations, MVLs and Scheme of Arrangements. My day to day includes report writing and cashflow analysis to update creditors on progress of the administration and dealing with creditor queries regularly.
I have learnt lots of new skills. Including report writing, fee analysis, cashflow analysis, using EY tools, excel skills etc
I really enjoy the programme as it is the right balance between study and working in the office, i also have a huge amount of support both from my EY team and kaplan teachers.
The programme is very well structured. Study is split into three catergories leading to the exam to make sure you are fully equipped to pass. Study materials are always delivered on time and are very easy to use.
I receive alot of support from my employer, for example when i am away from the office to study this is recognised and i do not have to work at the same time.
I receive lots of support from my training provider. The teachers are always happy to answer questions in class, or after class. Kaplan also provide an email you can contact 24/7 if you have any questions before your exam.
I have found my accountancy exams have helped me towards my role as the exams have taught me how to analyse financial statements and calculate certain ratios etc.
Yes we have networking groups which you can join. I am part of the womens network and wellbeing team which i really enjoy.
