Day to day my role includes analysing defects, creating spreadsheets and graphs to track defects, and managing theses defects to ensure that they are being worked on at all times.
Yes, my ICT skills have gone through the roof, and i am now an expert in Excel. My team working has improved as well and i am flexible in my working arrangements. I am also a Java coder now as part of my training.
I love my work, as it is interesting and engaging on a day to day basis. The team i am on gets the work done, but there is plenty of banter. Accenture is very much a 'Work hard - play hard' company, so while the work is tough and lots is expected of you, the parties and celebrations are no expense spared events.
Yes, Accenture is investing money into my training as they see apprentices as future managers and high value employees of the company.
There was 3 weeks of induction training, followed by on the job training. There is some trainign every 6 weeks or so as part of the apprenticeship provided by QA.
Lots. QA provides loads of support and all you have to do is reach out and any questions will be answered.
More than enough. Every employee has a Line Manager, Career Counesellor, a Talent Fulfilment Specialist, and a 'Career Buddy'.
Very well. I am paid enough that i can afford travel to work, hot lunch every day, spending money on clothes/gadgets, plenty of spending for nights out and drinking, and still have enough left over to put a significant amount into a savings account.
Yes, there are regular celebration events every quarter, parties at christmas, and lots of meals and drinks to socialise with co workers. There are also lots of sports and social clubs to get involved with.
Yes
Because its the leading company in the consulting industry and you could not choose a better company to work for!
Be prepared and do your research, nothing is more offputting for an interviewer if you dont know simple facts such as who the CEO is or how many employees the company has currently. Cover letters and CV's go a long way to painting a picture of yourself before you get to the interview. If youve written about somethign in your CV, emphasise it in the face to face interview. (E.g if you wrote you are good at teamwork then say the same in your interview with an example)
