Getting to grasp with the everyday working life at EY. I became familiar with the everyday technology they used and learned how to complete tax returns
I learned general presentation skills and problem solving skills as a whole throughout the experience. I also learned about tax returns and how to deal with clients
To a large extent. It was very interesting and it was good to get an insight into everyday working life at EY.
I would say it was quite organised, however there was a couple of problems like getting access to softwares and getting the technology required ect
I learned a lot about the company culture and believe I got a real insight into what it would be like working at EY. I thought it was good to shadow an employee that had been in my situation before.
I was already quite certain on my career path but my work experience has solidified this, as I revived an offer for an apprenticeship.
Yes I was paid and lunch was provided.
Yes lots. I got to meet loads of people in the business, from partners, to people in the same situation as me, on work experience. I also got to meet people on a Skype call from around the UK.
Yes
I personally liked the effective use of technology and the plans to be paperless. I always felt welcome and it was a friendly working environment as a whole.
I would tell others applying to EY, to just be themselves and not to panic during any stage. I would also tell them to remain patient as the application process is quite lengthy.
