I am responsible for planning and implementing the right projects to ensure we deliver our strategic goals. This includes: • Responsibility for the strategic planning for digital transformation • Organisational learning and knowledge management • Digital cultural shift • IT/IS -business alignment • Digital experiencing support • Account management for WBL customers
My degree apprenticeship taught me some useful skills around costs and digital leadership which I'm using in new projects in our organisation.
Very much. I have very strong support both from the university and Pearson's internal apprenticeship team. To be honest, having the right support is one of the factors that keeps me motivated to finish this course.
It's very good. From the beginning of each module, I know exactly what to expect in terms of training content and assessment. However, it would be good to have some downtime around Christmas as we are normally working on assignments for early January.
Full support as far as I'm concerned. I'm able to take my 20% time off to focus on my studies and I have a number of opportunities where I can apply my knowledge in the workplace.
Full support during and outside study time. The staff in my course are fully engaged with all the learners and I have no complaints about that.
Very well. I have a job that is closely aligned to my apprenticeship and I have now been offered a short term secondment as Head of Engagement and Innovation. I feel that this apprenticeship is opening many professional doors for me.
Yes, network events in my field (digital transformation) which I take part regularly. I also get lots of invites for other events via my Linkedin which I try to attend time permitting.
Yes
Pearson is a diverse company that offers great support to their staff and excellent development and career opportunities. I have been there for almost 20 years and I have nothing but respect to Pearson for what they have done to me since I started working there.
If you understand Pearson's culture you'll go far in your career there.
