Engaging in training in various areas of work in the workshop to gain a knowledge of different engineering terms and methods used within the business.
I have learnt many new skills and relevant knowledge that will be able to be applied to business specific jobs as well as transferable personal skills that have been developed in my apprenticeship.
The programme aids leaning very well and ensures a strong base of knowledge and understanding in order to get a good platform to grow from while giving you opportunities to work and learn different skills and techniques to keep work exiting.
The programme is extremely well structured and planned out in order to cover all the bases for entering the working environment will a good understanding and engineering knowledge.
There is the opportunity to receive lots of help during the course if its being stuck in understanding a subject, gaining extra knowledge from experienced instructors or bettering work.
There is lots of support given through the course and more opportunities if needed or if wanting to seek extra information.
Very confident that the information we learn is directly involved in our roles and therefore aimed at improving performance in these roles.
There is the opportunity for extra-curricular activities such as the Outward Bound experience given to apprentices as well as going to events and organised social events.

It is a great opportunity go gain skills that are directly related to engineering roles and more so within BAE Systems where there are many opportunities to explore roles and gain a wide understanding of positions.
Be open to learning and try to get the most from the apprenticeship.
