I help serve customer with their transaction and see if one of our products and services could help the customer.
You learn a lot of people skills and how to adapt to different types of customers as everyone maybe in a different state of mind for example if i deal with a bereavement i would be a lot more serious and calmer and let the customer speak and give them as much time as they need also i would offer a glass of water.
It has its ups and downs but to be completely transparent its really has not been enjoyable recently as its really hard to get time off work to do your apprenticeship training and during my program i have had 4 different mentors each one with a different approach to the program.

When requested i did end up getting time of each week to complete my work however it is a very stressful place to work as my branch manager can not support me all that much however my line managers tries to. But all in all not much support maybe its the branch your placed in
It depends to be completely honest as i ended up having 4 different mentors however the most recent one has been fantastic and i don't have much to complain other than that.
The program made me learn the rules and regulations around banking and that information has ultimately helped me not only in work but also in real life.
Sometimes we have annual events such as a sports event or go karting at times but the social gathering overall is quite nice.
Yes
I would recommend it as its a company that pays good for a young apprentice however you have to keep in mind the numerous challenges and the lack of support at times.
Best advise i could give is research the company, get some questions to ask the interviewer and honestly see if you can be successful at the company if not you should consider other avenues. Along with that gain the experience and the qualification and apply your trait in another institution or climb quickly through the corporate ladder or you will probably be stuck in the retail side of things, if you are ambitious you need to climb asap.
