My role involves project management type tasks. As an apprentice, I have been set my own project in which I manage and set specific dates for different tasks to be completed.
Within the apprenticeship, I have learnt a variety of different skills. I have improved my communication skills massively and I have learnt about different business skills needed to succeed individually and working in a team.
The programme is very enjoyable and all of my colleagues help/guide me through when I need assistance. The community is very friendly and welcoming as well as hardworking.
The programme is well organised and structured, and a colleague is put into a college course that is suited to their specific job role.
As an employer of Barclays, the support that is received is great. If a colleague ever needs support, their team will always be there to support/guide them through the task.
Like Barclays, the training provider support for colleagues is great. Throughout the course, if a colleague has an struggles or is finding a certain topic difficult, the training provider will always be there to support/guide them through the task.
My qualification helps me a lot with my role, as it is highly related. It helps me a lot with the process of my role and gives me an idea of how to approach a specific task.
BTCR(Barclays Radbroke) has a lot of facilities in which people can take place in social activities; football pitches, rugby pitches, tennis court, putting green. There is also different activities that colleagues/employees of Barclays set up for lunch times in order to socialise with each other.

Barclays is a great place to work and develop your professional skills, communication skills and social skills with other colleagues. As well as this, the apprenticeship programme is very good and offers a variety of different pathways for a young persons career.
Make sure you are confident when doing the applying process. It is a great place to work so I highly encourage people to apply for a role. Be yourself in the applying stage.
