I work as barclays financial assistance- collections department. I started in Oct2019 and my role involves to service the customer's loan and current accounts and we do that by making outbound and inbound calls.
As this role involves talking over the phone. so my communication skills have improved.
my job role and apprencticship work has been really great so far. had some challenges when we started working from home as wasnt able to keep a balance but i got great support from both sides and now i am up to date with everything.
it is organized really well. never felt left out. always get help and support.
Manager supports in many ways. we regularly have 1-2-1s where we discuss how our weeks been or which areas we need improvments.
Everyone is really supportive expecially in these difficult times where we have to work from home due to COVID. we have emails, phone numbers to contact anytime for any queries regarding our qualification.
its mostly the skills that help us to perform better in job role. skills like communication, team working and time management.
there are alot of activities witin barclays that we can take part in. e.g. during Christmas we rasied an event where we shop for gifts for orphange childrens. there are alot others which helps us to boost our team working skill.
Yes
Its not hard as it seems. There is alot of support available. Managers reach out to us and gives us feedback of how we are doing and if we need additional training on anything work related. its fun working environemnent and provides great balance between job and study.
Experience doesnt matter as much as skills do. if you have all essential skills then you will be able to make your place within barclays.
