My role involves assessing new applications for use and potential development. I also oversee and aid in the integration of new applications for CGI ATI. As part of my role I have to be well versed in multiple programming and application specific languages.
I have learnt a lot in my time at CGI including using opensource intelligence tools, Azure - Kusto Query Language, Sigma, Python application development, network monitoring, JSON, capability assessment, application and script development, application integration, Cyber Threat Intelligence, AWS, API handling and integration.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship with CGI. It has enabled me to jump start my career while receiving the necessary education to support my work.
The programme is very well balanced and I find time to effectively complete both my work and university work.
I have multiple support points with weekly calls to my assigned mentor and buddy who can advise and support me.
All my lecturers can be reached by email and notes from lectures and seminars can be found easily on the university's website.
Being able to apply my university learning to my work helps greatly to consolidate my learning. Having a core understanding of IT concepts aids in my work massively.
Yes. There is the Sports and Social Club as well as regular outings and lunches with my team.
Yes
CGI has been an excellent employer for myself. I have recommended CGI to friends because it is obvious to me that the business really cares about their members and is interested in building a positive workspace for all.
Make sure you do some research on the company. The interviewer at my assessment Centre was impressed by my knowledge of the business and created talking points within the interview.
