My Role as an RFS manager involves processing requests from the client, getting quotes from 3rd party supplier and providing that back to the client, in the hope they sign the deal, and we then win the deal. Requests can also be for resource not just 3rd party.
I've learnt lots of new skills, I have learnt how to talk to customers via the internet, pricing, running my own calls, gathering data, become more confident in presenting, been able to widen my network.
I really enjoy my work / apprenticeship, however it will be good to be able to experience other roles and jobs within IBM
It is well organised.
There is loads of support from my employer, I have an EMP (Early Professionals Manager) and a Sponsor who i talk to on the regular about any issues i might have or general questions.
I receive a lot of support, they help to point you in the right direction of what work that needs doing and advises you where something can be improved. We meet once a month with other apprentices to check were all on track
I feel like my qualification has given me the opportunity to go on courses that help my confidence around talking to customers and how to deal with certain situations that I've never been faced with, it has also just given me a lot more confidence.
