I am part of the web optimisation team, however specifically work on exit intent, the affiliate programme and analytics/reporting. My day-to-day involves coding panels, tracking the progress of panels, managing affiliates who have recently signed up to the programme and have been assigned to myself and tracking their performance. I also report on both programmes monthly/weekly.
When I first started I had verry little knowlage of digital marketing, however I now feel like I have learnt many skills etc and have a very sound understanding of what digital marketing is and roles wihin digital marketing. What I learn in apprentice sessions also ties in very nicely to what I am doing day to day, this is anything from coding to basic SEO practise.
I love my job role, the girl who provides the teaching is alays very thorough and mindful and overall this apprenticeship is very suited to what I wanted to achieve by doing this. So far, the best thing I've done in my life and I can't wait to see what's to come.
At first, I felt this was a bit elusive and not structured enough however, over the months, it has become slightly more structured and the path of the teachings and what is expected from me is more clear and laid out. Overall, pretty well structured but could be slightly better.
My boss is very good, not only in ensuring That I have time to complete anything I need, but also ensuring that the work I am doing day to day ties in with what I am leanring. Also ensures I am happy with the apprenteships and that it was/is what I expected.
Any time i need to allocate towards my apprenteship is more than happily given and agreed to. Any questions/concerns I have reagrding the work I am set is more than happily taken on board by my manager and he is always more than happy to set in on any concerns I may have.
As stated previously, before starting in this role I had little no no knowlage of the exact work I am currently doing and the work done in my lesson time almost ties in perfectly in some instnaces to my day to day rolw and vice versa. Overall it 100% allows me to perfom better in my role.
Yes this is something I very much appreciate coming from a team player in a school, there is plenty to be going outside of work to bond with those I am working with, pre and post corona virus. The talks provided by talent acqusition are also great to ensure there is a sense of community among us.
Yes
Again, as stated previously, this is the best decision i have made in my life so far and, altough I still don't know what I want as a profession, I know this is deffinatley an area of work in which I enjoy and am keen to get myself engaged in.
Be confident in who you are, but not over confident. Be polite and well mannered but also show willingness to work/ go out of your way to ensure things are done. Dress smart! Do lots of research before hand on the company and the role to ensure you kno what you are talking about. Make sure its something that intereste you, if you're not interested in digital marketing, don't pretend you are.
