  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Assisting with inbox and calls from clients in regard to monies they wish to draw down from their invoice finance facility, and assisting the client manager with anything they need

    8/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, banking is all new to me. Despite having 25 years client facing experience, banking terminology and invoice finance facility has been difficult to learn

    7/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find the programme and the writing of assignments for missions fascinating. The apprenticeship programme is made even better by a great and supportive tutor and without my amazing team leader who is the best manager to be supportive and understanding. The banking exam has not been very well explained and the fact that we only intitially had 6 weeks to complete would have been impossible. There is too much to learn and no one explains that note taking is imperative to passing this exam. It needs to be given a longer period of time in which to take, given the severity of losing your position should you not pass it.

    6/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well. One mission a month is achieveable and like I have said, if extra months are given to study the banking exam it would be easier

    8/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Anything I need. Team leader is over and above supportive and understanding. Could not wish for a better manager. I am so grateful to her.

    10/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

    10/10

  • Extensively

    10/10

  • I am part of RBS people Board

    10/10

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Learning on the job perfect
