My role is to support customers with their payroll software over the telephone, email etc. It involves fixing errors in their program and offering them products that will help them run their day to day business.
I have learnt how to give excellent customer service over the phone as previously I had only worked in retail. I have also developed my team work skills whilst working at Sage.
I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship program. It is good to be able to learn a qualification whilst also working and being paid to do it.
The programme for me had some confusion at the start as to how certain tasks should be completed and also who would be providing the training but since then it has been structured very well.
I receive a lot of support from my manager etc to ensure I am doing well with my apprenticeship.
The training provider and in particular my tutor have offered me lots of support to ensure I am doing well with the work I am given
It helps me in my role as it teaches me about what skills are involved in providing high quality customer service so that I can apply these skills when speaking to Sage's customers.
There are events such as sage foundation days where we can spend our day helping a charitable organisation. There are also social events such as the Christmas party and the year end party.

Sage is a company that looks after it's employees and ensures they are happy and supported in their role, and the apprenticeship program alongside this also helps with developing skills related to the role.
Just be yourself and have a good attitude, that's all you really need to work at a place like Sage.
