I work on a cloud service called salesforce. My daily tasks are fixing any problems EDF have with their Salesforce platform. This means that i'm responsible to record what i have done and test it aswell.
My role is not that code based however i have learnt a lot about coding and could pick up any new code with some understanding. I have also just been sent to London to get a sales force qualification called an AMD-201.
I am yet to meet some one at Accenture i don't like. My team is small however they seem to know everyone and have fun talking to anyone that walks past.
Yes, I have been here for 5 months and have been sent to london for training. My team has taken me seriously and give me real tasks to work as part of the team.
Besides getting onto the course which took along time, I feel like the boot camp you do at the start is really helpful to meet new people and learn basic skills you will need to start your job role.
I have a lot of support from my teacher at Newcastle collage for any work i have for them. I also have the two assessors from my NVQ who always respond to emails and meetings if i am ever in need
If i have a problem at work there are a lot of people i can ask for help ranging from my team (who help with my collage work/ anything else) to HR who help when i have another problem.
I'm 17 so i still live at home i do pay board but that isn't a huge cost. This means that I don't have problems. However it is not a lot of money if you work it out on an hourly basis.
You get a lot of offers for voluntary work which you will be paid to do (sometimes). There are also a lot of free tickets been given out which is nice. The Christmas part is also very fun and a lot of team go out once a month.
Yes
You get paid to go to collage for one day a week, and UNIVERSITY IS PAID FOR YOU!!!!!!!!! This was a huge factor for me as it saves you £14,000. It's also the best of both worlds, you are learning and getting qualifications and getting work experience!
Be patient, the application process takes along time! other than that have a look at what they are and what they do because it looks a bit bad if you go for an interview and have no idea what it is the company does.
