Leadership and Mangement of a team of branch managers, accountable for the success of branch banking and virtual
Yes learning all the time
The program has been brilliant to reflect and develop new skills and take different approaches .
Very good structure and agile adjustments made to support in covid-19, taking a virtual approach to maintain connection and learning.
Support is there whenever I need it, regular check ins with my LM who is also on a development program. He has been quick to respond to his sign off responsibilities and regualr check ins happen with the Barclays lead. Throughout if i ask for anthing i get quick helpfrul responses.
Again proactive and reactive support from everyone involved. Both from the UNI and CMDA procedures and tutors.
Better deep approached to work and i dont just jump in now as quickly.
Steady - Balancing the program, family challenges, the team, covid-19, the is little room for anything else currently. Extra curricular for me is the degree. I have made some great contacts and we regaularly check in to encourage each others progress on the degree. I knwo what is available and where to find it, will be my next actiosn when degree complete.
Yes
Because Barclays generally recruits like minded individuals who are aligned to Barclays values. They have so many different areas of Barclays to be involved in. So long as you are personally accountable for your own journey and give you recieve access to so much in return.Whilst a big corporate where colleagues are resources it has a great support culture- i call it my Barclays Family. There is also still much to do and fix so the variety and oppotunity keeps presenting itself.
Expect to work hard, gain experience and enjoy it.
