My role is to work with key stakeholders across Visa and clients to support the delivery of initiatives. Therefore, on a day-to-day basis my responsibilities consists of analysing information and data to create client monthly scorecards. Ensuring all initiatives on the teams plan on page are captured and up to date. Establishing an efficient operating rhythm internally and with the client and ensuring our key stakeholders receive all key communications.
One of the new skill I have learnt is business acumen because this rotation has given me the opportunity to use my knowledge from my previous rotation to gain both deeper understanding and awareness of how a client team operates. I have also been able to develop existing skills such as communication and teamwork by ensuring that I am able to clearly listen to our clients and constantly seeking new ideas with the team.
I have enjoyed attending client meetings and having this exposure has helped me build my professional network and able to connect to them. Also, the culture at Visa is extremely welcoming and everyone is here to help is the best part of the job.
The programme is well structured and organised. The rotations are 6 months based and we have the opportunity to choose our top 3 rotations to ensure all apprentices are happy with their rotation. We also have networking sessions with all the apprentices in which we share our experience and any tips for the rotation.
We receive great amount of support from our employer and they are always here to listen to us.
We receive great amount of support from our training provider. The module leader provides weekly sessions to support the module and the skills coach who connects with us every term to discuss any questions we have. They are also here to talk to us anytime.
I feel that the qualifications through the training provider has helped build self awareness for both leadership and managerial skills I have been exposed to and how that helps organisation in performing.
At Visa we have numerous of extra curricular activities to get involved in. This means that there is something for everyone. I have taken part in volunteering events as I have always enjoyed giving back to society.
