my role of an apprentice engineer requires on a day to day bases for me to learn a range of engineering techniques honing in my skills. these include electrical, fluid power, hand fitting and mechanics.
yes ive learnt plenty of new skills such as the techniques needed for milling, hand fitting and even understanding technical drawings.
i enjoy my apprentice thoroughly particularly the new skills ive learned throughout my time as well as the new people ive met.
on the whole it is not very well organised and structured as there is often conflict between the college side and bmw side on what they want us to do.
i receive a good amount of support whenit is needed from my employer.
whenever i feel like i need any support all i have to do is ask and they provide it. they do also provide adequate materials for my training.
it helps me learn the basics of the skills that is required for my role and will benefit me when i go on plavement.
there are some extra curricular activities such as mountain challenge.
Yes
as i enjoy my apprenticeship and the new skills i learned.
they should always be willing to work their hardest and try new things when the challenges arrive.
