My role as a relationship manager is to help clients with their daily servicing needs such as opening accounts and updating mandates. We also help clients with deposits and services such as online banking.
I have learnt many new skills in this job. I can into the job with no knowledge of banking and have developed a detailed knowledge of products. I have also developed much better communication skills and how to present myself to clients confidently.
I do enjoy my programme to a large extent. There is a lot of support at Barclays and I feel this has been evident throughout my relationship manager role.
The programme is extremely well structured. We have a clear timetable of expectations in both our job role and our degree.
I receive a lot of support from my employer in both my work and my education. They allow me to work flexibly in order to achieve the best results in both sides of my work.
We receive a good amount of support from our training provider. We do a lot of the work ourselves via online learning with 4 days of remote learning per module. It would be nice to have more remote learning, even just an extra day.
My qualification has taught me a lot about the products and services in the financial services industry and has allowed em to expand my knowledge and make it more concrete.
We do quizzes as a team.
