  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My Role as a practitioner is to provide a safe and secure environment for all children, to help them learn and develop to their best. On a day to day I would follow The settings routine this involves singing time, outside time, snack time and also nappy time. I plan activities for my key children to based on their age and stage of development this helps the children learn new skills and develop in areas.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Throughout my training I have learnt many new skills and also developed on existing skills for example, I have developed first aid skills having this knowledge is important as you need these skills everyday in the work setting and also I’m your day to day life. I ha e also developed on existing skills such as communication, I have developed in this area by speaking to colleagues and also parents during feedback.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy this program as you have full support with work and also the assignments and anything else. I enjoyed this programme as I have learnt a lot of amazing things and met really nice and supportive people.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Personally I feel this programme was well organised and structured. Every meeting with my tutor was fully thought out and planned and they flowed very well. They were never too complicated and if I did not understand something I just had to ask and my tutor would explain it to me.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received a tremendous amount of support from my employer. If I every needed help I knew I could ask my employer and they would help me in any way I needed. Also every Friday we had feed forwards and in these we would also be tested in EYFS and other things this was very helpful.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I received a lot of support throughout my qualification from the training provider. When being sent my work I would also get sent help sheets if I ever got stuck or did not understand something on the unit. Also I could contact my tutor at any time for help and my tutor helped me more than I could have asked.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like through my training with the training provider it helped me perform better in my role a lot as I was constantly learning more skills that I could put into practice and show my employer what I was gaining from the training provider.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At work we have training day this involves learning new things and also expanding on what we already know. These also include lots of activities for example activities on socialising and working on team building.

  • Yes

  • I would recommend paragonSkills to friends as I believe they help and support you a lot thought out your qualification and training. ParagonSkills always push to get the best of your potential. Through out the training you are constantly learning new things and building on your knowledge of things.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Tiny Tigers Nursery?
  • Tips and advice I would give to others is be ready to learn things you never thought you would and to just have a good time. If you ever feel like you don’t understand something just ask for help and I assure You that you will get that help.
