I work in a nursery. I therefore have a lot of different roles to fulfil every day. I plan activities for my key children, supervise during meal times, contribute to the learning of each child within the room, and even help to maintain a friendly and safe environment for the children in my care. I really enjoy working with children and in the childcare sector.
I have learnt many new skills since starting my apprenticeship. I have learnt to be more confident in what I do, and even have gained new skills in dealing with behaviour management with the children. I have really enjoyed doing my apprenticeship.
I have really enjoyed doing the Level 2 programme. I thought the programme was very effective and allowed me to learn lots of new skills. I would like to progress and do my Level 3 programme, and eventually do my degree.
The programme is very organised and structured. I really liked how it was a balance of practical and theory work. I enjoyed the assignments as I thought the structure of each one was different and therefore I learned different things based on each assignment.
I receive a lot of support from my employer and I gained lots of help from the other staff members in my room. I really enjoyed doing this programme and learning new things. I definitely want to progress onto the Level 3 programme.
I have been thoroughly supported throughout my Level 2 apprenticeship. My tutor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was amazing. She really helped me learn different things and she explained everything in depth. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was always amazing at talking through my next steps and things to improve in my practise. This has made me become a lot more confident.
Having now gained my Level 2 apprenticeship, I feel more confident When completing a job given to me. I now understand how and why things work in the workplace and even feel more confident and comfortable speaking to the public and the parents. I have really enjoyed this apprenticeship.
There are not any extra curricular activities to get involved with at work.
Yes
I have really enjoyed doing my Level 2 apprenticeship. My tutor Corinne Beswick was so lovely and really helped me learn new skills about my job. I really hope I can do my Level 3 soon so I gain another qualification, and so that I feel even more confident
Definitely give it a go! This apprenticeship has allowed me to become more confident, and has now allowed me to progress onto the Level 3 qualification. I can’t recommend this apprenticeship enough!
