Working within a team to deliver tasks around continuous improvement for the manufacturing environment and providing shop floor support.
First year of the apprenticeship was spent in the academy learning a base set of skills such as fabrication, machining, electrical work etc. This then allows you to have base engineering knowledge to take into the workplace and learn more specifically about the job role.
Interesting educational side of it at university with a lot of new content delivered. The job also allows you to stretch yourself and get as much from it as you want.
Very well structured that is all laid out at the very beginning of the job.
A lot of support with various channels of help and constant meetings with mentors/instructors.
Depending on the lecturer this can vary from a lot to not a great deal, but there are a lot of resources to help with this and choose from.
A lot of the technical knowledge and projects helps you to understand the technical side of the role.
The company has various sports teams to join along with different social clubs and societies.
