As an apprentice we become a member of a team within the company and do 6 monthly rotations to gain new knowledge and to sign off our NVQ Level 4.
I have learnt how to do a lot of practical engineering skills within the first year at college and gained knowledge of the company, products and software whilst in the business.
I enjoy meeting all the new people and experiencing different areas of the business.
It’s fairly well structured in the fact it’s college full time in the first year and then 6 month placements around the business in the following 3 years.
A lot of support and we are regularly communicating with our ADL.
Only support whilst at the University and we get check ins from one of the universities representatives every progress review.
It has enhanced my engineering skills knowledge making it easier to understand things within the roles.
