I have multiple placements around the machining side of the factory, in these placements i work with the maintenance teams and gain experience on the different machines and gain more skills from the different teams.
I have been able to learn multiple new skills along with developing multiple more of my skills further.
I very much enjoy the programme that i am on as i have been able to gain a healthy work relation with all of the technicians that i have worked with.
It isn't as well structured as it could be as there is much that isn't explained to us. This being about our placements and contact we have with what is happening around us. However the college support we have is very good
There is a decent amount of support that we have with our employer
We get all the support we need from them
In many cases the stuff learnt isn't very relatable to what we do when working, a lot of the stuff doesn't link up with what my job role entails too, however it is still good to know
To what i know, there is a yearly mountain climb challenge that goes on each year, aside from this i don't know about any other group activities that go on.
Yes
The pay is very good for an apprentice with regular increases, also the pension plan is very good. Also working for the company comes with many great future opportunities.
Ensure that you thoroughly read through all the requirements needed for each stage.
