Yes. I have learn't a lot about applications from a technical point of view and also people management skills. I feel I have developed my confidence in leaps and bounds since joining IBM, and my prioritisation skills have developed really well. I have been in situations known as the 'deep end' where I have been in front of clients and customers, presenting and projecting my opinions. I have learnt how to handle objections appropriately in meetings or on calls, and more recently, after managing a team of my own I have learnt how to grow relationships within the team and to manage a work/life balance for my team members.
The programme is amazing. There are a lot of challenges and hurdles to overcome however the rewards are great and the people you get to work with ensure you don't lose your social life. The company is very good at ensuring you maintain a work/life balance. I would say it over achieved my expectations because I didn't expect IBM to give me as many opportunities, for example I have been to Germany to learn about a CAMS related initiative. I enjoy the challenges and the areas I am learning in.
Twice each year you are given a review on your performance and your feedback. This is also a good time to express anything or discuss any concerns.
The programme is a mix of courses and real world experiences. To complete the apprenticeship you need to show evidence of achieving the criteria, which is all achievable through the courses and job roles/training offered.
Everyone is given a professional development manager, a task manager, a mentor and a 'buddy'. If you need advice or help with anything there are always places to go. If you are struggling with anything your PDM in my experience is always willing to take a call or even come and meet you on your account.

IBM will always consider your needs/requirements. For example I was asked to work away from from home and I was given help with y travel and living costs. IBM will help you with per diems too, and depending on your locations the amount changes to match the economy.
Yes, IBM is big on giveback, giving back to communities, schools and other organisations. I have been to career fairs, spoken at a high school and college, and been to London on certain events.
Yes
Because there are many opportunities to move up, and you can shape your own career/future with IBM. You are truly given the power of 'its what you make of it' - and it can be made to your needs and aspirations.
I would say to keep an open mind, and to enjoy it. There is an online test followed by an assessment center, it sounds weird but if you change your mind set, the whole application process can seem really fun. - If you Join IBM, remember that its what you make of it and be proactive. The opportunities and experience is there, you just have to take them. You won't be able to sit there, do what is asked of you and receive an apprenticeship - you will need to challenge yourself and the rewards will pay off.
