Manage and develop the workforce of staff and volunteers, advising on HR, Data Protection and Safeguarding matters as part of the wider Management Team.
I have learnt a lot of project management theory, problem solving and wider business awareness
I feel the programme is really well tailored to my role in HR. It supports the day to day function whilst also developing skills and behaviours to add value across the business.
The structure is really clear and manageable even with a full time role. Expectations are clear at the start of each leaning phase and provides lots of opportunities to research and explore relevant subjects and topics.
My employer is extra supportive, offering guidance, mentoring and sufficient time to complete study as needed.
My TDO is very approachable offering relevant and practical guidance and support across all aspects of learning. I feel I am encouraged to solve problems and come up with relevant solutions. My TDO is great at building professional confidence and is very inspirational as a mentor.
Working towards the qualification helps me consider a range of consequences from any potential decisions made within the HR team. Previously I would have looked at my role and team but now i have the confidence to make suggestions and challenge wider thought processes that are shown at work. I feel much more confident.
At work we have courses from indutry professionals that we can attend. We also have guest speakers on topical subjects.
