I am required to complete various tasks throughout a day ranging from examinations, inspections, component replacement etc. I must carry out tasks with full knowledge of procedures and safety precautions. These tasks are completed to ensure the trains are fully functional and safe to assist members of the public with maximum efficiency.
I have learnt about the procedures of specific tasks, including the inspection of seats and fold down tables for example. I have also become familiar with the health and safety precautions and fully understand the importance of carrying them out. I have also become more familiar with the use of more complex tools and testing equipment.
I am enjoying the programme very much as I have progressed a lot more than I anticipated and I’m looking forward to becoming part of the team.
The programme is very organised and structured as the workload has been very well balanced and has not been overwhelming.

I have received constant updates from my employer and my progress has been closely monitored with areas for improvement being identified regularly.
I’ve received regular support and my progress has been reviewed multiple times giving me the opportunity to improve my work to higher standards.
It sets a foundation where I now possess the basic understanding and logic in the field of engineering.
I am currently unaware of any extra curricular activities.
Yes
This process has been a steady progress in knowledge and a steady increase in workload so I have not been overwhelmed with work. My colleagues also understand the position that I am in and are also happy to help whenever I need it.
I would advise that you constantly show an appetite to learn new things and make sure you are happy to take on the responsibility.
