On a day-to-day basis I usually assist the site manager, however I would prefer if I had more site experience. I feel like I have very little experience in civil engineering and I am being held back from what I could achieve.
I have developed basic skills from on site experience but as I approach my second year I feel like I would be expected to do more.
I enjoy the learning side of my programme. The job is ok however more site experience would make it better.
I think the program is structed well with the training provider, however not with the company.
I don't have much contact with my line manager and I feel as if, I would enjoy the program more if I got support.
I feel as if they play a good role in my learning I cannot fault them for anything.
I take some information from my learning through to working onsite.

If the apprenticeship scheme was more structured, I would. As an apprentice I feel as if there is no plan for my development.
If you're able to, get an engineer as your mentor instead of a site manager.
