I enjoy learning new skills, meeting and working with industry professionals, attending events, running projects, public speaking and all other aspects of my job.
The entire course structure is laid out in a standard and all training is mapped to the outcomes of that standard. Senior management does a great job of ensuring the course is very well organised.
Online resources, face to face tutoring, additional training and more is available.
I receive lots of support from my training provider. You can get access to online tutorials, face to face sessions, library access and additional sessions. Lecturers are available to answer any questions.
It gives me a better understanding of the key scientific principles behind each testing methodologies along with expanding my wider engineering knowledge in relation to business improvements, leadership, innovation, materials science, manufacturing and more.
There is access to the AGA (apprentice and graduates association) for a small monthly fee. This allows access to socials, sports teams, networking and more. There is also a leisure centre for employees to use for the Derby site.

Know the company values, have an understanding of the technical elements for the role you apply for and ensure you flush out your CV to show how you have gone above and beyond what a normal student has done. Practice your interview technique beforehand and make sure you are early to the meeting. Showing a knowledge of current affairs and the aerospace industry is also helpful.
