I run Account Management for certain clients ensuring all Accenture data/financial details are valid and up to date working with senior managers/leadership building strong relationships for my services (kind of like accountancy). This includes extracting data from Accenture systems and presenting pipeline reports to all members on the team, sending out Client surveys to gain feedback and Account Planning for the Fiscal year. I also work on Delivery Control dealing with how we charge our clients for the work we have done, and managing these costs as well as covering on Resource Management for our internal staff working on specific client accounts/projects.
I have greatly learned how to confidently use Field Glass and MMS which are two Accenture systems we use within PMO. I have also gained massive confidence working with Managing Directors in which my communication skills, confidence and punctuality have been key to building these relationships. I have also improved on using Java as a programming language, powerBI and my Excel skills.
The work load can be quite a lot as you are juggling a Degree and full-time job. However, it is has been the best experience i have ever had as long as you are willing to work hard and you are organised with time management then you will strive here. The company don't hold back with giving you important tasks or responsibility which makes you feel like more than just an apprentice everyone is treat the same. It is also great to get paid to sit a very high and reputable degree.
The first year if you are starting with the level 3 can be a bit unorganized due to the nature of of the level 3 programming course. However, the level 4 is organised.
The support I have received has been surreal, everyone at work from my line manager to my apprenticeship manager all genuinely care about your well being and your work. They are always there if I ever need to chat me it about work, college or personal issues.
For the level 3 we don't go the college a lot but they are always there for support when we need them and have fast responses to emails/messages.
For my current role within Accenture it isn't technical based therefore I don't massively depend on the skills i learn within the college. However, the course is what i want to do as a profession so it will definitely help in the future.
Yes there is literally activities/events/sessions on every single day which is awesome! From a wide variety of sports/fitness, training sessions to increase your understanding or knowledge to informal chats about real world problems or debates. You can always find something suited to you.
Yes
I would recommend Accenture to any of my friends because it is a great company to work for, unlike most apprenticeships they don't hold back with giving you responsibility/ownership if there is a mutual agreement that you are ready for it. This helps as an apprentice to feel important and that everyone is the same. The culture is great very diverse and it is a friendly atmosphere to be around. Also the job security is very high as if your role ends or you get taken off to the team you go onto the bench which is a process in Accenture where you are still getting paid but don't have a job and everyday you look to up skill and try get a new role.
Be confident, be nice and most importantly be yourself. Confidence looks great and being able to work well as a team. I would highly recommend that anyone who is applying try taking part in the training programs or work experience they offer. I did a weeks work experience and it not only gave me the insight of the company and the feeling that i knew I wanted to work here but it massively increased my chances of getting the job. Charity work, NCS anything like that can look great. I would also say to have good punctuality arrive early to interviews be polite and don't be afraid to showcase your skills/attitude towards learning.
