My role as a sales assistant for CEF is to be flexible and serve customers with respect over the counter, on the phone as well as taking care of the warehouse be it storing goods or chipping in with cleaning.
A new skill I have developed is more patience , having to deal with customers and the occasional complaint. My product knowledge has obviously improved.
The best part about the programme/work is the team environment and the help we/they offer each other.
The tutors know how I am progressing and are their for quick feedback/support.
My employer supports me a lot through feedback, giving out praise and tips that would be helpful at work.
My tutor is typically available for questions regarding the qualification and feedback is quick, they also have a friendly and helpful manner.
I find it rarely helping me at all at work but rather a distraction from the work itself.
There are a few social activities after work everyone is invited to they are fun. Seasonal company events also increase the mood of the team.
