  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I worked in the HMRC account project where we maintain the system and ensure our client is satisfied. We use SQL to extract data from the databases and price HMRC with what they are looking for.

  • I have learned how to use SQL and Bash in UNIX. I learned a bit of PHP, ASP .NET, C#, Java, CSS

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It has been a good journey so far, including my role and my University experience. There is a lot of space for improvement, but there are lots of people willing to help out.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I am doing the accelerated program, which is the first time Accenture and Newcastle College are doing it, therefore, there are a few misunderstandings throughout the course, but people are trying to make it as smooth as possible.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We are being provided with lots of training opportunities and informative meetings. Every time we need help they are there to help us.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Newcastle College has done its best in supporting us. They have good and less good teachers, but they all try their best to provide as much guidance as they can.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • it help me understand what a software developer does and how they do it. However, my role is not 100% included in the qualification. This qualification allows me to learn many programming languages and in the future maybe choose another path.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes. There is a dedicated team that plans activities as often as they can to allow as to get involved in as many fun and thoughtful activities.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Accenture is a great company to work for. They have a lot of diverse projects which would allow people to choose different career path depending on their curiosity, skills, and desires. There are lots of opportunities inside Accenture that can help people improve and develop new skills and experiences.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • Just be yourself. An openminded person can get anywhere. Show them your love for technology and your desire to learn and find out new things. It might look scary at the beginning, but it'll turn out good in the end.
