I am currently on a project where i carry out PMO tasks where i am asked to update the weekly report for the team's effort, what they have achieved in the week in comparison to what they originally planned. I also organise meetings and facilitate when required. I work very closely with my Project Manager to ensure the project is running smoothly and all the team members have all the required information needed to have success.
I have learned so many SKILLS, things i didn't even know existed or ever had an interest in. As part of my bootcamp i learned java which was a very key skill for me as i have never been a coder nor interested in development but the knowledge of this language has allowed me to understand my university work a lot better as well as the work that takes place in my project by the development team.
I thoroughly enjoy my program as it is very informative and helpful in shaping my career and so future but also allows me to network with people from different background and abilities and allows me to make professional relationships that have also turned into friendships.
It is extremely organised!!!!
The company itself is very helpful and we have numerous representatives who are always available to help and give us all the key information on time.
UEL is a good organisation although i feel they may be a bit unorganized and some of the lecturers fail to understand our situation and expect us to work like a full time student however nonetheless some lecturers are better than others in terms of teaching and offering support.
The training has been extremely helpful!!
There are many networking events that take place at Accenture and i aim to attend as many as i can, however i am able to attend them even more now that they are held virtually.
