Supporting the teacher in the classroom. This involves setting the classroom up and tidying away, making sure all equipment is available. Also supporting lessons with the teacher and delivering to lower sets mathematics, phonics and English.
I have learnt how to take on various levels of children sets. How to use the correct writing styles, phonics, and English. How these are taught.
I enjoy having responsibility within my course on a practical side, I prefer more adult led activities working with children in small groups to teach.
Placement has been an issue and only is currently good because of the virus and lack of staff. Which will change.
Communication is hard from the employer.
The college has been very supportive during my time in the role
To gain the under pinning knowledge required to be competent in the role so I'm more aware of what to look out for.
Not currently due to the virus but I was doing two days a week for breakfast club.
