Shadowing to help understand processes and system within my company and team, whilst learning new tools and methods of analysing data or presenting. Study days are also granted each week to focus on theory work and assignments.
General IT work and applications are highly used developing my IT skills, as well as learning to be independent and reliable within the working environment.
Highly enjoy my programme, supportive team members and tutors, all displaying positive and welcoming attitudes towards me.
Highly organised, set hours each week for study, different people for different roles/ queries, online booking system for meetings so everyone is timetabled clearly and always made clear what time member to contact if the initial colleague is not available.
Great amount of support from team members, line managers, other apprentices, tutors, talent coaches and even apprenticeship buddies.
Have multiple tutors, a talent coach who I have a meeting with every six weeks, large amount of online resources, development days and lessons to help cover topics within assignments.
My theory side enables me to learn more about the industry I work in, especially surrounding policies and regulatory standards.
Team bonding sessions, filming for social media campaigns and other sessions are encourage. However remote working has slightly delayed these type of activities but a mass amount of effort is still put in by Barclays to stay connected.
Yes
A brilliant programme which offers a secure qualification whilst encouraging apprentices to strive for success through on job training to help gain experience. A good well respected company which is highly diverse and believe in equality, making everyone feel welcomed.
The city life work environment can be over powering at first, especially if you are applying as a younger apprentice, but just remember that staying in comfort zones will only allow you to go so far, push yourself and take advantage of all the support around you, everyone wants you to do well.
